UD Link offers a comprehensive suite of functions tailored for users who require efficient management and playback of multimedia content on Android systems, including both smart TVs and mobile devices. Key features include the ability to explore CD/DVD media, manage audio albums, and facilitate interactive data backups through cloud integration.

Supported Devices

• Android TV / Android Set-Top Box / Android TV Box
  • Android TV OS 8.0 or higher
  • Test Devices:
    1. Android TV: Sony, Sharp, TCL, Xiaomi, Pixela
    2. Android Set-Top Box: Various service provider models
    3. Android TV Box: Nvidia, Xiaomi, among others (requires USB Type A/C port for storage)
  • Please note: Compatibility issues may arise depending on the device.
• Smartphone / Tablet
  • Android 5.0 / Fire OS 4.1.1 or later with USB OTG support
  • Test Devices:

The application facilitates backup operations and allows users to play or copy disc files, and manage audio CDs by connecting a portable DVD writer to smart devices using a USB OTG cable.

Key Features:

1. Disc Explorer
   • Access to internal/external memory and CD/DVD disk data.
   • Direct access to files allows playback or copying onto Android devices.
   • Supports various disc types including CD-ROM and DVD formats.
   • The recommended player for video files is VLC Media Player.
   • Cannot play or copy files from CPRM discs, Video CDs, or with CD-TEXT.
   • The "TrueDVD" app is required alongside the supported DVD writer model for DVD Video playback.
2. Audio Player
   • A simple click on an audio track initiates playback.
   • Displays album information such as title, artist, and track name.
   AUDIO CD Ripper:
   • Select audio tracks can be ripped to the UD Link folder in various formats including FLAC and MP3.
   AUDIO CD Burner:
   • Create audio discs with the option to edit album cover images.
3. Data Backup:
   • Select data files can be burned onto compatible discs with a maximum file count of 2000. Supports multi-session backups for appending additional data.
4. Cloud Functionality: Provides services for cloud-based audio, photo, and video albums.

Connecting the Application to a Portable DVD Writer:

1. Ensure the supported portable DVD writer is connected to the Android device as indicated in the user manual.
2. Select 'OK' on the pop-up window to choose the application for the USB device on your Android device.
3. The UD Link application will launch on your Android device indicating successful connectivity.

Please Note:

• If the USB OTG cable is disconnected during operation, functionality may be compromised.
• If other applications that recognize USB devices are installed, it may be necessary to cancel 'Launch by Default' under App settings before connecting the DVD writer.
• Ejecting a disc while media is playing should only be done after terminating the associated player application.
• Playback delays may occur in the DISC EXPLORER due to compatibility issues with certain players.
• Caution is advised when burning high-resolution audio files as they may exceed standard CD bitrates and affect playback quality.
